Wedding Favor Crackers
Crackers aren’t just for Christmas. These great little gift holders also make wonderful wedding favors & beautiful decorative elements to your table settings. Wedding crackers are becoming a popular choice for wedding favors & they look fabulous when trimmed with ribbons in your wedding colors & a personalized thank you tag.
So what are your options when it comes to looking for wedding crackers:
Make Your Own – you can buy all the elements you need to make your own crackers up, including papers, inners, snaps, mottos & gifts. This is a great way to add a personal touch to your wedding favors, whilst having full control on the design, colors & contents. Buy Empty Crackers – these come ready made but only contain a motto or sometimes no contents at all. You get full instructions on how to insert your own gifts into the crackers. Whilst this gives you control over the gift inside, you could be limited by colors & designs. Ready Made – these are all ready to go – fully made up containing gifts, mottos etc. Vendors will sell crackers in a variety of designs & colors, with a choice of gift. Custom made – these will be made for you by the manufacturer to your requirements. This way you can choose the colors, design & contents, all made up professionally for you.
Ready made crackers will be more expensive than making your own, however, you should factor in the amount of time it will take you to put them together. If it will take you weeks to complete them, it may be better to buy them ready made & save yourself the hassle!
Most manufacturers will offer you a choice of gifts & mottos, in different price ranges. So you should be able to find something to suit your budget. When it comes to gifts you can choose between confectionary, small keepsakes, fun items (such as those you get in Christmas crackers) or something more luxurious. You will also find crackers come in various sizes, from mini crackers to extra large versions.
If your budget is really tight & you don’t fancy making your own, then use ready made Christmas crackers. Visit your local stores after Christmas for reduced boxes of crackers. If you’re lucky you will be able to get a choice of gift, including luxury gifts which may have been out of your budget before. If the colors or designs aren’t to your liking then you can re-cover them with papers bought from a cracker supplier.
Arrange to have a mass cracker pull before the speeches at the reception, just to avoid any interruptions! Also don’t forget to include some for any children at the wedding. Kids love crackers, so make sure you have some with special children friendly gifts inside.
Making your own also gives you the opportunity to include personal messages inside, jokes or even poems/recipes/songs etc. Just make sure that your choice of gift will fit inside the finished cracker!
